Bokréta always tries to mirror folklore as authentically as a stage presentation will allow. For example, because the essence of Hungarian folkdance is improvisation, the choreographies seldom present uniform, regimented movement. This is a multicultural group: though the majority of our dancers come from Montréal’s Hungarian community, a significant portion, in fact, some of our most reliable members are non-Hungarian, mainly Québecoise.
