The Open Garden Foundation (NyKA), as a civil organization, seeks to address environmental, social and economic problems in a practical, integrated way by establishing local organic food systems. Local food systems endeavor to develop a mutual understanding and respect between producers, consumers and Nature. NyKA builds organic food communities, and demonstrates in practice the principles of environmentally-sound livelihood. NyKA runs education projects to raise environmental consciuosness, and provides employment opportunities for people with special needs.
