Alexa Szlavics painter, artist was born in 1962 in Hungary. She studied the painting and drawing technics in Budapest and Toronto, Canada. Her first master was her father Laszlo Szlavics (1927-1991) Hungarian artist, sculptor, painter and professor of an artscool. Currently the artist lives and paints in the Balaton-felvidék, Hungary. You can also see her paintings at some local and international art exhibitions in Hungary, Europe and Canada.

The de Laszlo Archive Trust was set up to research, catalogue and administer the paintings and archive of Philip Alexius de László. This is the first time an authoritative assessment of Philip de László’s output has been made available online. The Catalogue Raisonné of Works by de László. Late in his career, de László stated that he had painted some 2,700 portraits. It is however now estimated that in his 50-year working life he in fact produced more than 5,000 works in oil, of which the majority are portraits, some of these being preparatory oil sketches. Most of his work is still in private collections.
