Canadian Hungarian Artists
The Canadian Hungarian Artists' Collective (CHAC) is an association of professional artists and supporters of the arts, organized to achieve the following goals: create educational and career-enhancing opportunities between artists in different regions of Canada, provide a showcase for Canadian artists of Hungarian descent by organizing curated group exhibitions across Canada and internationally, organize projects which invite community participation and advance the cultural awareness and enrichment of the community as a whole, assist the career development of emerging and immigrant artists, offer members a socially supportive mileu and regular reunions which favor the cultivation of ideas and the continuing appraisal of skills and concepts, maintain a web site and data bank for the organization and its members, organize fund-raising opportunities to accomplish the above goals.
After her formal studies at the University of Kolozsvar, Magda pursued a career as art teacher while being an active participant in the creative life of the arts community in Nagybanya. Now established in Canada, her focus remains on the elements of our natural environment, revealed by the trees, rock and water that form the almost ever-present theme in her works.
Masi studied voice and piano at the Budapest Conservatory of Music in her native Hungary before moving to Canada to further her studies at the Royal Conservatory of Music (RCM) in Toronto, where she launched her singing and modeling career. Natural with languages, Masi is equally at ease singing in Hungarian, English or French. Masi is a chanteuse in the true sense of the word.
He was born in Győr, Hungary, and came to Toronto in 1989 where he currently lives and works. Art, creativity have been a part of his life since an early age. On the pages you can see the selection of his work: oil paintings, pen & ink, digital art.
