Kodály Educators (Canada)
The Kodály Society of Canada is a non-profit, professional organization dedicated to fostering the growth of music education in Canada through the development of curriculum and methods, (in English and French), promoting research testing, and supporting Canada-Hungary cultural exchanges for the advancement of quality music education for children in Canada.
The Alberta Kodály Association (AKA) was started by Alberta music educators who follow the teachings of Hungarian composer and music educator; Zoltán Kodály. The AKA provides professional development support and training for music teachers.
KSNS is an organization of Nova Scotia music educators established in 1991. KSNS is a provincial branch of the Kodály Society of Canada. Aims and Objectives: To foster development of curriculum and methods for Canadian musical pedagogy based on the authentic Kodály concept, to promote a professional development through workshops and conferences for music educators.
