Jerry Lee Lewis Memorial Band

2008. January • 24.

Fierce piano and hammondcentric rock’n’roll band from Budapest, Hungary. From the rock’n’roll and sometimes country-funky songs of Jerry Lee Lewis thru the swing-jazz-soul of Ray Charles to the humming melodies of Elvis including some boogie-woogie and rockabilly ear-candies (Buddy Holly) the Band bruises the musical South all the way down to Memphis. And all this hip stuff adapted to the Band, namely devastating piano trills, creepy hammond leans, harp blows and ticklish guitar pickles based on the massive rumble of drums, bass and left-hand keys and all this overlaid by some unearthy howls and cries.
