Japan Foundation Budapest

The Budapest Office of the Japan Foundation was established in 1991 on the basis of Japanese-Hungarian bilateral government agreement as the fourteenth overseas office, with the aim of deepening Hungarian – Japenese cultural exchange via arts exchange programs, support for the study on Japan and Japanese language projects. Besides executing the open programs of the Headquarters made available for Hungary, Japan Foundation Budapest, under its auspices, runs several programs on its own and supports different local cultural events.
