The museum, without a permanent collection, on the one hand wishes to organize exhibitions, based on research into art history, which show the richness of modern Hungarian art and architecture from new viewpoints and also outstanding but lesser known oevres and collections. It would like to complement the exhibitions with other art events or auctions, which can raise the value of certain works, precisely because of the context of art history in which they are exhibited. Acting within the structure of the independent public service company, the Dorottya Gallery will continue to show the latest contemporary Hungarian visual arts.
